MTgames needed a robust, scalable backend to support real-time multiplayer gaming tournaments with real-money stakes. The platform had to comply with varying gaming regulations across US states and international markets while processing secure payments and instant prize payouts.

The existing monolithic architecture couldn't scale to meet growing demand, and the payment flow needed to support multiple providers for deposits and withdrawals with fraud-prevention measures.

We designed and implemented a microservice architecture that decouples tournament management, user authentication, payment processing, and matchmaking into independent services. OAuth 2.0 integration ensures secure authentication across mobile and web clients.

We integrated Soap Payments for secure credit card deposits and MassPay for instant prize withdrawals. The payment microservice handles geo-restriction logic to enforce state-level compliance. Our consulting work included architecture design, scaling strategy, and DevOps pipeline optimization.

The platform launched successfully across iOS and Android, operating in 42 US states and over 100 countries. The microservice architecture allows independent scaling of game servers during peak tournament hours without affecting payment or auth services.

Payment processing runs seamlessly with sub-second transaction times, and the OAuth integration supports cross-platform sessions. MTgames now hosts private tournaments for up to 4 players with customizable stakes across titles like Rebel Speedrun, Cork Screwed, and Pogo Loco.
