The starting point
Athletic Factory wanted to carry its brand beyond the studio walls and build a loyal fitness community. Brick and mortar alone couldn't deliver that: training, nutrition, and motivation increasingly happen on the phone.
The pandemic accelerated that shift. The studio needed a platform that would attract new members, keep existing ones engaged from home, and open up additional revenue through digital content and e-commerce.
The approach
CPI built the application from the ground up: apps for iOS and Android plus a web version on a shared backend. Courses, recipes, and all other content are maintained once and delivered to every channel.
On top came the building blocks that turn a course app into a business: live streaming infrastructure for real-time coach sessions, an e-commerce module, and the visual identity including social media assets — through to quality assurance and the app store launch.

Social features around training and nutrition keep the community together outside the studio, too.
Visual identity, branded social media assets, QA testing, and full launch management for the App Store and Google Play.
The result
At launch, the offering went well beyond a video archive: 400+ training courses, more than 2,000 recipes, live streams, and a marketplace with the studio's own products — all under one brand, in one app.
For the first time, Athletic Factory could reach its members regardless of opening hours or location, connecting in-gym training with nutrition and at-home content.
Athletic Factory today
Today, Athletic Factory runs a fitness and lifestyle gym in Kaiserslautern, Germany. The focus is on individual coaching instead of off-the-shelf programs: in-house coaches, a structured support concept with measurable progress, and training zones spanning cardio, cross training, functional training, and free weights.
The brand's conviction is still the one the app carried: "There's an athlete in everyone." Training, nutrition, and personal development work together as one program.
